武庫川女子大学上甲子園キャンパスで10月22日、近くの西宮市立鳴尾北保育所（西宮市戸崎町）の災害時避難訓練が行われました。

鳴尾北保育所には高い建物がないため、特に津波や洪水などの際の避難場所が課題でした。武庫川女子大学の設置者である学校法人武庫川学院と西宮市は、平成24年（2012年）9月に鳴尾北保育所の災害時の避難について協定を締結。津波や洪水だけでなく、地震や火災などで保育園児の生命に危険がある場合の一時的な避難場所として隣接する上甲子園キャンパスの敷地や建物を利用することができるというものです。

避難訓練はこの協定に基づき、平成24年（2012年）以降、毎年、実施してきました（昨年は新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大のため中止）。9回目となる今回は、「保育時間中に大地震が発生し、5m以上の津波が来る恐れがある」との想定で行われました。

午前10時10分、園児83名が所長以下19名の保育士等に誘導され、上甲子園キャンパスに避難してきました。建築スタジオ（建築学科2年生以上の校舎）と景観建築スタジオ西館（景観建築学科2年生以上の校舎）の間にある広場に集合。人数確認の点呼の後、避難に要した時間の計測を行いました。

続いて、5歳児16名は、保育士3名の誘導で建築スタジオ3階へ上がり、避難場所を確認しました。地震に伴う停電でエレベーターが停止しているという想定で、3階へは階段を利用しました＝写真。

On October 22nd, an evacuation drill was held for a nearby nursery school at Kami-Kosihen campus.

Since there are no tall buildings at Naruo Kita Nursery School, finding an evacuation site was an issue, especially in the event of a tsunami or flood. In 2012, Mukogawa Women’s University and Nishinomiya city signed an agreement on evacuation of Naruo Kita Nursery School in the event of a disaster. Not only for natural disasters but the campus is offered to be used as a temporary evacuation site for the lives of nursery school children for other purposes too.

Based on the agreement, the drills have been conducted every year since then with last year cancelled due to the spread of coronavirus infection. This year which marks the 9th time of this drill, was carried out on the assumption that “a large earthquake may occur during childcare hours and a tsunami of 5m or more could hit us”.

At 10:10am, 83 kindergarten children were evacuated to the Kami-Koshien campus by being guided by 19 nursery teachers. After the roll call to confirm the number of people, the time required for evacuation was measured. The second group of 16 children went up to the 3rd floor of the building studio under the guidance of 3 nursery teachers and confirmed the evacuation site.  With the assumption that the elevator would’ve stopped due to power outage caused by the earthquake, the teachers supervised the children in using the stairs
